Get your tickets for our fun Casino Night!

As part of our ongoing fundraising for the Village Centre, there will be a Supper and Casino Night in the Main Hall of the Centre, at 7.00pm on Saturday 16th March. This will be a joint fundraising event between the Dersingham Village Centre Association and the Dersingham Tennis Club.

You may be wondering “what is a Casino Night?” The hall of the Village Centre will be arranged as a casino, with tables for popular casino games such as roulette and blackjack. You can play on these tables with chips that are provided free to you. It’s purely for fun, no money changes hands, so you can’t loose your shirt, or win a fortune! Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play these games, your croupier will show you how.

The evening will have a fun, James Bond style theme, so if you’ve ever wanted to sit at a roulette or baccarat table and ask for “a dry martini, shaken not stirred”, this may be your chance! Tickets are available in advance from Dersingham Post Office, price £20, or buy on the door for £25. The price includes your supper and chips for the casino.  Drinks are available to buy. See the poster for details and don’t forget the date, Saturday 16th March.

Village Cinema shows Churchill’s Darkest Hour

Our next presentation at the Village Cinema will be on Tuesday 26th February at 7.30pm. The film is Darkest Hour, which features Gary Oldman’s amazingly accurate portrayal of Winston Churchill.  Not to be missed, it shows Churchill’s struggle to  persuade his parliamentary colleagues that there can be no shrinking from the task of defeating Hitler’s Nazi Germany. “We shall never surrender”.

Tickets cost £5 on the door and include tea or coffee.
