Our next film screening is this Tuesday, 25th July. The film is What’s Love Got To Do With It (PG-13), a romantic comedy about the trials and tribulations of arranged marriages. One reviewer commented “no one should be turning to romantic comedies for life advice, just comfort and amusement, which this one has plenty of!”
The film will commence at 7.30pm and tickets are available on the door, priced at £6 with under 16s £3. Entry includes a cup of tea, coffee or squash. A licensed bar is available.
This coming Sunday sees a cornucopia of bargains to be grabbed as there will be over eighty yard sales around the village. The Village Centre will be a hub for the sales, with a Table-Top sale in the main hall and a pop-up café serving refreshments. You can get a map and a list of the sale venues from the Village Centre too.
Everybody loves a bargain, so make sure you don’t miss this event!
Our next film screening is this Tuesday, 27th June. The film is A Man Called Otto (PG-13), starring Tom Hanks. Otto is a grumpy old man who becomes a widower and sees no reason for his own life to continue. He tries to end it all in a variety of sometimes hilariously inept ways, but eventually, through the kindness of his neighbours, he realises that life is worth living after all. A very well acted film, with some harrowing scenes, but a happy ending!

Just a reminder that the Annual General Meeting of the Dersingham Village Centre Association is tonight at 7pm in the main hall of the Centre. The Meeting is open to all; members of the DVCA, and all residents of Dersingham and the surrounding villages are welcome to attend.
This is an opportunity to raise any issues and ask any questions about the running of the Centre. There will be reports by the Chair of the Association and by the Finance Officer. We look forward to welcoming all interested parties.

Just a brief reminder that our Friday coffee shop will NOT take place on this coming Good Friday the 7th April. It will return as usual the following Friday, the 14th.
The trustees of the DVCA would like to thank all players for their very generous support of the DVCA Lottery. It has enabled us to furnish the centre with much needed equipment since it began in 2016. However, with numbers of players continuing to dwindle and the end of the financial year approaching, it was felt that now is the time to wind up this fund raising activity.
Consequently, the lottery is now closed to new players and we are arranging with existing players for their lottery payments to come to an end. Once again, thank you all for your support, which is much appreciated.
