On Sunday 7th July the Outlaw Triathlon will take place at Holkham, Norfolk. The event will include a 56 mile cycle ride around Norfolk villages, including a small part of Dersingham. The cyclists could be passing through our village any time between 6.30am and 12.00noon. When cyclists are on the road there will be Stop – Go boards to control traffic flow, which may result in some delays, so please allow extra time for your journey.
All racers will enter the village along Shernbourne Road from Shernbourne and leave via Sandringham Hill towards Sandringham.
The only roads in the village affected are;
1. Shernbourne Road from Shernbourne to the junction with Manor Road/Chapel Road.
2. Church Lane from Shernbourne Road to Manor Road. This is the road beside the church which has the entrance to St Nicholas Court in it.
3. Manor Road from its junction with Church Road to its junction with The Avenue.
4. The Avenue (Sandringham Hill) from its junction with Manor Road to Sandringham.
Traffic will only be prevented from accessing these roads while the cyclists are passing through, so delays should hopefully be minimal.
