What's on at the Dersingham Village Centre

The Centre is extensively used for a wide variety of activities, such as exercise and dance classes, craft and art groups, community lunches, film screenings, talks and much more. Below is a list of the various events and activities that would normally take place each week. Always check that the event you wish to attend is actually running, as there may still be alterations due to the ongoing public health situation.

Regular Activities

If you are interested in joining in with any activity listed here please contact the individual organiser. If no details are shown please contact us and we will endeavour to put you in touch. The list does not include private bookings of the Centre.

Special Events

The Centre also hosts one-off special events, which often have fundraising in mind. These events are provided and run by the Trustees and volunteers of the Dersingham Village Centre Association.

Tuesday 12th July 7.30pm - Village Voice Live - "The Port of King's Lynn, Then and Now" an illustrated talk by well-known Lynn historian Dr Paul Richards. Tickets £6 on the door.

Tuesday 26th July 7.30pm - Village Cinema - "The Last Bus" with Timothy Spall and Phyllis Logan. Tickets £6 on the door.

Following on from our popular quiz earlier in the year, on Friday evening 7th October there will be a fun and fundraising quiz, once again raising money for the local Tapping House Norfolk Hospice.

Tuesday 12th July "The Port of King's Lynn, Then and Now". A talk by well known local historian Dr Paul Richards about the port that has been such an important part of the town of King's Lynn across the years. The talk will commence at 7.30pm and tickets are available on the door, priced at £6. Entry includes refreshments and a raffle ticket.

12.30pm Community Friendship Lunch - cooked and served by DVCA volunteers. £7 for 2 courses with tea or coffee. Booking essential tel: 01485 540644. Note that there will not be a lunch in August and that there will be one per month from September onwards.

Last Tuesday of the Month

19.30 Dersingham Village Cinema - A DVCA event with a different film every month. £6 Admission including a cup of tea or coffee.
