Friendship Lunches on Tuesdays

On the back of our successful one-off Sunday lunch, we will be launching twice monthly Friendship Lunches, starting this Tuesday 22nd January and continuing on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month.

It’s an opportunity to enjoy a simple home-cooked lunch in the company of others. Have a chat, have a hot meal and while away an hour or two.

You can drop in, no need to book, but if you have any special dietary requirements you must let us know in advance. The lunch will cost £5 and you should arrive for 1.00pm.

Lunch and make friends

The first of our community lunches is coming up, on Sunday 13th January. Here’s an opportunity to have a lovely lunch and to meet and chat with other people from the village. Chatting is not obligatory though,  you can just enjoy the food! This is an ideal opportunity for those who are perhaps on their own, and lack a bit of company.

Booking is essential and you can get tickets from Dersingham Post Office or the Parish Council Office at the Centre. See the poster for more details. Tickets cost just £7.00.

Extraordinary General Meeting

Just a reminder about the Extraordinary General Meeting tomorrow – 8.15pm Tuesday 20th March at the Dersingham Social Club, Lynn Road.

The purpose of the meeting is to approve a small but essential amendment to the DVCA Constitution, which is required in order to satisfy the Charity Commissioners who are processing our application for charitable status.

We need a minimum of fifteen people at the meeting, and it should only take a few minutes to explain the amendment and to take a vote. Please come along and support the Committee who are working so hard behind the scenes.

Once again, the time is 815pm and the date Tuesday 20th March. Venue is Dersingham Social Club, Lynn Road. Thanks!
