poster for downton abbey filmThis is the film of the hugely popular TV series and it promises to be a highly entertaining evening. Excitement is high at Downton Abbey when the Crawley family find out that King George V and Queen Mary are coming to visit!

The screening is our usual last Tuesday in the month Village Cinema event, but with the added bonus of a Downton style high tea, which will be served at 6.00pm. If you would like to partake of tea then the cost is £10 per head and you must book in advance. Phone Shirley on 01485 540644. Lottery Draw February 2020

image of lottery drawEvery month there’s a chance to win a Village Centre Lottery prize and also the chance to have that warm glow feeling that you’re helping raise funds for the Village Centre. Why raise funds? Because we are constantly trying to improve the level of equipment at the Centre, so that it becomes an even better resource for the community.  For example, just yesterday we bought a new fridge to stand in the corner of the Garden Room, so that users can keep their food and drink cool in the warmer weather. Please keep up the good work, we need your support!

The most recent draw of Lottery prizewinners was made on Tuesday 4th February 2020 at our popular community lunch. Winners are as follows:

First prize, number 29 winning £28.50. Second prize number 55 winning £19.00 and third prize number 28 winning £9.50. Congratulations to the lucky prize winners. Subscribe to our Lottery and you could join those winners, plus you’ll be giving us a big helping hand. Thank you!
