Just to remind everyone that if you need to telephone the Village Centre the number to use is 01485 543195. This number is manned by volunteers when possible, but you may have to leave a message.
Important Our old mobile phone number (07707 732295) is no longer in use and we will not receive any calls or messages made to it. Please don’t ring it!
The easiest way to contact the Centre is by email and you can use either firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com but please remember that these addresses are also monitored by volunteers so you may not receive an immediate response. Thanks!
Although we are very pleased to be welcoming back many of our regular hirers, we are still having to work with some Government restrictions, particularly for larger events. As a result, the Tennis Club Disco scheduled for July 3rd has been postponed to October 1st, and the Tapping House 50s/60s Night scheduled for July 24th is cancelled pending a further date being arranged.
Our apologies for any inconvenience, but we must comply with the current regulations and do everything that we can to ensure that our events are as safe as possible. Meanwhile let’s all enjoy the summer as best we can!
Every month there’s a chance to win a Village Centre Lottery prize. The fixed costs of the Centre are quite considerable, so your contributions are especially welcome, but we do need more players. If you know anyone who would like to join the lottery then you’ll be giving us a big helping hand. It costs just £5 per month and the more players the bigger the prize fund. Anyone can join the lottery draw online by visiting our Village Centre Fundraising page Thank you for your support!
This month’s draw was made on Tuesday 8th June 2021. The results are: First prize, number 34 winning £22.50. Second prize number 39 winning £15.00 and third prize number 28 winning £7.50.
In line with the Government Road Map we have now been able to reopen the Centre and welcome back the majority of our exercise and dance groups. Larger events such as film screenings, wedding receptions, parties etc. will resume later in the summer.
We have an enhanced cleaning programme to keep everyone as safe as possible, but it’s still essential that we all observe social distancing and wear face coverings when in the Centre. Hopefully it won’t be long before restrictions are a distant memory but in the meantime, don’t forget to wash those hands and let in plenty of fresh air. Let’s keep Dersingham healthy and safe!
