Wednesday Yoga Cancelled

poster for gentle yoga with AlisonOur Wednesday Yoga tutor Alison has decided that she will take a break while the current Coronavirus situation is ongoing. Alison says:

“Due to the recent report of 3 cases of Covid19 in the QEH Kings Lynn, I have decided to suspend teaching yoga for the time being.
As most of you know my daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and I also teach a vulnerable group too.

I’ve thought long and heard about what to do, but health comes first.
If you can log on to my Facebook page “medulla yoga” I will be posting the classes on there for you to practice at home if you so wish. This will be done free of charge. Please note however that if you injure yourself whilst practising at home I am not liable for the injury you may sustain. (Legal bit done!)

So stay well everyone.
Hopefully see you all soon

Alison xxxx”

If we hear of any further cancellations or changes in the situation they will be posted here on our Blog and on our Facebook page. Meanwhile we wish everyone continued good health. Keep washing those hands and let’s keep Dersingham safe!

Lottery draw January 2020

image of lottery drawEvery month there’s a chance to win a Village Centre Lottery prize and also the chance to have that warm glow feeling that you’re helping raise funds for the Village Centre. Why raise funds? Because we are constantly trying to improve the level of equipment at the Centre, so that it becomes an even better resource for the community. The wish-list is never ending and a big thank-you is due to all of you who are helping. Please keep up the good work!

The most recent draw of Lottery prizewinners was made on Tuesday 7th January 2020 at our popular community lunch. Winners are as follows:

First prize, number 49 winning £29.25. Second prize number 33 winning £19.50 and third prize number 41 winning £9.75. Congratulations to the lucky prize winners. Subscribe to our Lottery and you could join those winners, plus you’ll be giving us a big helping hand. Thank you!

Lottery Draw september

image of lottery draw

The draw for the Village Centre Lottery was made today at our Community Lunch. The three lucky winners share the prize fund as follows:

1st Prize number 6 winning £30.00

2nd Prize number 29 winning £20

3rd Prize number 44 winning £10

A bit of a plea from the heart. Lottery subscriptions are diminishing, probably because people think that the Centre is up and running now and that nothing needs to be spent. However, we have a rolling programme of improvements and the purchase of new equipment. More tables and chairs, more kitchen cupboards, a better quality sound system for cinema screenings, these are just a few items that we need to raise money for. So please support our Lottery, it only costs £5 per month and you will be helping the Centre which is here for the benefit of the whole village. Information on how to join or renew a Lottery subscription can be found on our website DersinghamVillageCentre.org.uk/fundraising.html Thanks!
